Salesperson

The Salesperson is responsible for selling Upland's products and design services to potential clients.

This includes meeting with potential clients, understanding their needs, and demonstrating how the firm's services can meet those needs. The Salesperson will also maintain relationships with existing clients and seek opportunities for repeat business.

Responsibilities and Duties

Generate Quotes from Website Inquiries. Quickly respond to Standard Product Order leads with a quote. Answer questions and followup with customers to secure a signed quote and order deposit.

Client Acquisition. Identify potential clients, reach out to them, and set up meetings to discuss the firm's products and services.

Presentations and Proposals. Prepare and present sales presentations and proposals that highlight the firm's services and past successes, and clearly demonstrate an understanding of how our products or services meet the client's needs.

Client Relationship Management. Maintain relationships with existing clients, providing excellent service and seeking opportunities for repeat business.

Sales Goals. Meet or exceed sales targets as set by the firm's management.

Maintain Sales Scorecard. Track sales progress weekly on the sales scorecard.

Collaboration. Work closely with the design and project management teams to ensure that client needs are accurately represented in design proposals and project plans. Our sales process should be design-first!

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the design industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the exhibit design industry and the firm's services.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

Work Environment

A Salesperson typically works in an office environment within Upland, but the role also involves travel to meet with potential clients and attend industry events. The role often requires a flexible schedule to accommodate meetings with clients in different time zones or outside of standard business hours. Depending on the specific responsibilities of the role, there may be opportunities for remote work.
