Cleaning Fabric Banners
Fabric banners are printed by dye-sublimation — the ink is in the fibers, not on them — and use a durable fabric that needs very little maintenance.
Tension-frame banners
Steam out wrinkles
A hand-held clothing steamer gently smooths away wrinkles.
Spot clean with mild soap
Mix a few drops of Original Dawn® dish soap in a bucket of water and lightly clean the affected area with a sponge.
Hanging banners
Spot clean with a damp cloth
For most marks, a wipe with a damp cloth is enough.
Machine wash when necessary
If a full wash is needed and the banner is small enough, use a commercial-size front-loading machine on the gentle cycle with cool water — no bleach or fabric softener — and hang or lay flat to dry.
Never dry clean
Dry cleaning is not recommended for printed fabric.
