Head of Marketing

The Head of Marketing is responsible for overseeing and directing the company's marketing strategies and efforts.

This includes planning, implementing, and monitoring all marketing campaigns, building and maintaining relationships with media and stakeholders, and leading the marketing team. The role also requires staying updated with the latest marketing trends and technologies.

Responsibilities and Duties

Develop and implement marketing strategies. Establish marketing strategies that align with the company's business goals. This includes digital marketing, content marketing, SEO, and social media strategies, as well as tradeshow events.

Manage marketing campaigns. Oversee the planning, implementation, and execution of marketing campaigns. This includes tracking their performance and making necessary adjustments for optimal results.

Maintain and improve Upland website. Manage the maintainance and further development of the Upland website, our primary marketing tool.

Market research and analysis. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and keep up with industry trends. Analyze data to make informed marketing decisions and forecast marketing trends.

Brand management. Oversee the company's brand image and ensure all marketing efforts align with the brand's identity and message.

Collaborate with sales. Collaborate with sales, product development, and other departments to align marketing strategies across the company.

Reporting. Prepare and present reports on marketing efforts and campaign results to company leadership.

Stay up-to-date with marketing trends. Keep up with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in digital marketing, design, and strategy.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Solid knowledge of web analytics and Google Adwords.
  • Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions.

Work Environment

The Head of Marketing typically works in an office environment during regular business hours. This role may require travel to tradeshows or meetings with partners or vendors. Extended hours may be required during critical campaign periods or to meet project deadlines. Given the evolution of digital marketing, remote work or a combination of remote and office work may be possible.
